LESSON TO LIFE - THE DAY IS GOING TO BE THE MOST EXCITING

THE DAY IS GOING TO BE THE MOST EXCITING

Wclement Stone, insurance executive, once wrote a book called ‘The Success Formula That Never Fails’. In it he stated the positive mental attitude as the greatest avenue to success. Although we agree, we would add another little formula, which is simple this: ‘Plan your work, work your plan.’

The best time to plan your work is the night before. If you have a big project tomorrow, outline it tonight, then go to bed and sleep on it. You will find that some of the problems were solved by your subconscious mind while you slept. Night-before planners usually are big doers by day. Here are some guides to success:

HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF:

Looking at the positive side of life and having the optimistic, cheerful outlook will do much start you on a successful day. Have faith in yourself and your plans.

SEEK HEALTH:

Good health is a sure-fire ingredient of success. Show me a millionaire, and his health is broken, he will feel like a failure. What good are his riches if he does not have the health to enjoy them?

SET GOALS:

Set big goals, but with little goals in between. Every man needs some little victories every day. In order to get the success feeling that everybody needs he must accomplish something towards his goal each day, small though it may be. These little victories, like tiny battles in the big war, keep the moral high. They are like a shot in the arm to give enthusiasm for the continual striving towards the big goal.

WRITE DOWN YOUR PLANS:

Plans should be written out, spelt out to the last detail, if possible. Then they should be verbalized morning, noon, and night. With plans set down on paper and in your brain, they will sink into your subconscious mind. Then you will unconsciously act them to further your cause.

BEGIN EACH DAY WITH A HAPPY HEART:

While shaving or washing look into the mirror and tell yourself what you are going to do today. Begin the day with a happy frame of mind. Then look at yourself squarely and say: "This is going to be the most exciting day of my life. Since it is the first day of the rest of my life, it is a new year’s day. I’m going to give it all I’ve got. Today I’ve got a plan, and I’m going to work that plan."
