Who is Shirdi Sai Baba? – His own statements - 2

Who is Shirdi Sai Baba? – His own statements - 2

All the insects, ants, the visible, movable and immovable world, is My Body or Form

I was the black dog.

I was the sickly sudra. I am in everything, and beyond.

I was the fakir who begged of you at Bombay.

I was the spirit you saw at midnight under the tree.

[I am Akkalkote Maharaj.] I gave you Rs. 2, Pitale.

Baba as a cat is beaten.

Baba to Hansraj, an Asthma patient: Do not take curds or taste sour things. But Hansraj was daily preparing curds overnight to drink it at the noon meal. Daily a cat drank it off and one day he beat the cat.

Baba: (to others, in the presence of Hansraj). "There is an Urphatia. a cussed, crossgrained man. I told him not to take curds. But he daily prepared it. Daily I went as a cat and drank it off, to save his life. Today I went again. Do you know what he did? He beat me over the shoulder. See here. (Hansraj looked and found a fresh weal on Baba's shoulder, though it was a cat he beat with a stick on the shoulder)

Baba as a dog and sickly Sudra:

Kasinath Govind Upasani Maharaj (K.G.U) who lived at Shirdi in 1911-14, prepared his food which a black dog was watching. Offering nothing to the dog, K.G.U. went to the masjid and offered it to Baba. Baba: Why did you bring it here? I was there.

K.G.U. : Baba, there was none there, except a black dog.

Baba: I was that black dog.

Baba refused to accept food that day.

Next day K.G.U. prepared his meal at his quarters and found no dog there. But a sickly Sudra was standing leaning on a wall and looking at the food. The orthodox K.G.U. drove him away from that place and brought the food to Baba.

Baba: Yesterday you did not offer me food. Today also you drove me away. Why bring the food here?

K.G.U.: Where were you there, Baba?

Baba: I was leaning on the wall.

K.G.U.: What! Could you be in such a person?

Baba: Yes I am in all things and beyond.

Purusha Sukta i.e. He pervades the earth and transcends it.

(From Baba's Charters and Saying – 73)

Guruvaar Prarthna

Guruvaar Prarthna

Our Beloved Sadguru Sainath, please accept our humble prayers on this Holy day of Guruvaar. Today is a very special day- starting day of the year. On this new day and the days to come, we may have to face difficulties. All that we are praying You is give us enough strength to face the difficulties, so that we can grow strong by overcoming all the difficulties -  one by one , patiently. If we fail ten times, we will not despair. If we fail hundred times, we will not dishearten. If we fail thousand times, we will rise up and march boldly. We believe failures and difficulties are stepping stones to success. One who has faith in the God must pass through the fire of sufferings. Suffering is not misfortune. It helps one to grow. Suffering and pain open the door to wisdom. Blessed are those  who suffer because suffering is the subsistence of spiritual life. On this special day of Guruvaar, we pledge to treat both happiness and sufferings equally and start our prayers by reading Your holy text in Satcharita.

O Guruvara, the One who is Compassionate towards the devotees, make haste and reach us. There is no respite in the worldly affairs. Free us from this cycle of births and deaths.

Our nature depends on our tendencies. Our senses are forever directed outwardly. Restrain us from the attraction of the objects of the senses. Introvert us.

In the ocean of worldly existence, we are tossed around like waves in a whirlpool. Extend your timely help and relieve us.

The senses run amok; evil practice overpowers us. Please dam up this unrestrained flow. Turn back the host of senses.

If the senses are not introverted, there is no prospect of Self-realisation. Without that, how can there be Supreme Bliss? Life will be futile.

Neither wife, nor son, nor numerous friends will be of any use in the end. You alone are the lasting friend for the final journey. You are the giver of joys and salvation.

Unravel the net of actions and sins and free us from its misery. Uplift the poor and the meek with the power of your grace, Maharaja.

Destroy from their roots evil tendencies and argumentative habits. Let our tongues get a passion for chanting the name, O pure, Sairaya.

Grant to me the ability to love you so intensely that I may forget all my resolves, doubts, even my body and home. Take away my ego also.

Make me ever remember your name and forget all other things. Remove the restlessness of the mind and make it steady and calm.

If you just clasp us, the darkness of night of our ignorance will vanish and we shall live happily in your light. What more can we desire?

I bow down to Sree Ganesh

I bow down to Sree Saraswati

I bow down to the Guru

I bow down to the Family Deity

I bow down to Sree Sita-Ramachandra

I bow down to Sree Sadguru Sainath.

This is a master piece from George Carlin

This is a master piece. If you have not read it take the time to read it now.. If you have read it take time to read it again!

GEORGE CARLIN

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways
,but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. An embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Pray Pray and Continue to Pray

Pray Pray and Continue to Pray

Believe in God! Trust in Him completely. Know that He will always do the very best for you. Therefore co-operate with His Will. Become a willing instrument in the Hands of God.

Greet difficulties with a smile and meet dangers with love. And never forget that the Mother Divine is ever with you, protecting you, guiding you, guarding you. In the time of crisis feel the thrill of protection. Whisper to yourself, "The Mother is holding me by the hand; and I feel safe and secure!" The Mother never fails. See that you do not fail Her. Trust in Her till the breaking point, and the breaking point will never come!

Let prayer become a habit with you. Pray, pray and continue to pray. So many of our prayers remain unanswered because we soon grow tired of praying. We become impatient and lose faith. We feel that as God is not going to act for us, we must act for ourselves. Alas! We forget that God always acts at the right time; and if He does not act, it only means that the right time is not yet. This applies not only to material requirements but also to mental and spiritual needs.

Pray for more and more faith. He who has faith has everything. For verily, "faith moves mountains." Pray for faith as a famished person would pray for food, as a thirty person would pray for water. And what is it to have faith? T0 have faith is feel sure that whatever God does is always for the best.

The cure of all ills, physical, mental, spiritual, is contact with God. From time to time, detach yourself from your surroundings and enter within yourself, and in silence wait upon God, conscious of His presence. From time to time, engage yourself in loving converse with God. Offer all your work to Him for help before beginning any work; and give gratitude to Him when it is over.

Accept whatever comes to you. Do not seek the 'pleasant', do not shun the 'unpleasant.' But rejoice in everything that happens. All that has happened, all that is happening and is yet  to happen, all, all is for the best ! Turn out all thoughts of fear and doubt and anxiety. Close the windows and doors of your minds against them as you would against plague germs. Face each trial and tribulation with love and laughter. Meet every situation in life with the favourite prayer.

He who lives thus knows what it is to feel the thrill of protection and safety, now and forever. No storm can upset him; no news can shock him. In the midst of the most furious gale he is calm and composed as a safely anchored boat.

Such a one has controlled his passions. He has eliminated his 'self' and entered into a life of holiness and happiness and harmony, the life of true freedom which is the privilege of every son of God. He owns nothing yet all the wealth of all the world belongs to him. He is attached to no one yet all creatures, men and birds and animals, are his friends. He thinks of no one as an alien. All, all are his, his very own. And he breathes out benedictions to all, to the 'good' and the 'bad', to the rich and the poor, to saints and sinners, to thieves and profligates, to the forsaken and fallen ones. And to all he gives the service of love, beholding in them broken images of the Beloved.

Of one such man, the man of God was a true bhakta of the Lord. He was rich in the wealth, the only wealth that counts, the wealth of love. He loved God with all the intensity of his being. And in acts of daily life, he taught that to love God is to do the Will of God. And if there is one thing which God wills for us, it is this that we love our fellowmen as He Himself loves them. To love our fellowmen is to live for them and, if need be, to die for them! Such a life, as it unfolds from day to day, becomes an unending love-story, indeed, stranger than fiction and richer than a romance!

The board published the answer sheets of all the toppers in the year 2008 and made it a routine of every year. The step taken by CBSE officials was good as this will help students to know where they lack in their answers and they can learn the strategy to score high marks as well. But due to some internal issues, the board didn't published the toppers' answer sheets from 2008 onward and instead published the best answers in the year 2011.
