HEALTH TIPS



Remain free of any kind of tension.

As far as possible, drink warm water.

Fast once a week.

Avoid cold water from refrigerator.

Stand and sit upright.

Take your meals three hours before sleeping.

Drink some water after two hours.

Before retiring to bed at night, rinse your mouth thoroughly.

Drink two glasses of plain water as soon as you get up in the morning.

Food and toilet habits should be according to Indian tradition.

Vegetables and fruits should be used maximum.

Meditate for atleast 5 minutes before going to bed at night.

If possible, avoid taking bath with excessive hot water.

Smile as soon as you get up in the morning and keep smiling the whole day.

Don’t consume ‘Gutka’, cigarettes, non-vegetarian food and alcohol.

Make minimum use of soap, shampoo, cream and powder.

Avoid politics, cricket and TV.

Use salt, sugar, maida (fine flour) ghee and oil to the minimum.

Sofa set and comfortable chairs should be used sparingly.

Don’t view (watch) T.V. much and when you do watch, you must watch ‘Astha’ and ‘Sanskar’ channels.

In place of soap, use gram flour, ‘Multani Mitti’ or goose-berry powder.

Consume tea, coffee, ice cream, cold drinks and betal leaves sparingly.

Spend half an hour in walking, fifteen minutes in Pranayama (Breathing exercise) and 15 minutes in physical exercise in the morning.

Three liters of water should be consumed in a day, so that our body has enough fluid.

Eat meals twice a day. You can take only fruits or fruit juice twice a day, if required.

Clap your hands for two minutes daily. While taking bath, massage the soles of your feet.

Are all the rich people happy? Pondering over this, rejoice your basic necessities.

Whatever we eat, 1/3rd of it nourishes us and 2/3rd nourishes the doctor.

Think twice before buying anything. Is it really necessary? Can you do without it?

Taking bath in hot water, drinking hot milk, reading for a few minutes or listening to music before going to bed helps in inducing sleep.

In place of tooth-paste you can use ‘Neem’ or ‘Babool’ sticks or you can clean your teeth with mustered oil mixed with salt. This is very good for teeth.

Walking is not only a necessity of life, but also an art, pleasure, nourishes, happiness, a gift of nature and the best exercise in the world.

Always wear white and loosely woven clothes in summer. Black coloured clothes soak the sun rays and consequently, the body cannot get the life force elements.

Whatever type of addiction it may be, it is always an obstacle in work and sorrowful in life, in the long run. Enjoy everything in the world. There is no stopping. But don’t become an addict to anything.

Laugh whole heartedly and you will be cured of your illness. Today, the hospitals in America are realizing the truth of this saying. In some hospitals a few nurses are specially assigned with the task to make
patients laugh quite often.

We talk about ‘Asans’ (postures), ‘Pranayama’ (breathing exercise) and meditation (concentration) in yoga. But nobody talks about ‘Yama’ and Niyama’, we cannot achieve perfection in postures, healthy breathing and deeper meditation.

Make at least 12 parts of one chapatti and chew it nicely while eating. We tend to eat more if we eat fast, and enough saliva is not produced and enough saliva helps in digesting the food. Investigations show that whatever food we eat, we get the juice of only 30 to 50 percentage of the food we eat. The body spends extra energy to eliminate the rest of the food (out of the body)

Instead running after the synthetic cosmetics, we can buy the natural things like lemon, cucumber, neem, besil leaves, gram flour, rose water, sandal wood, chiraungi, milk, turmeric, curd and almonds etc.

Look at the glow of the rising sun in the morning. When eyes start feeling tired cover your eyes with the cups of your palms. Inside cups open and close eyes alternately. Then look through the slits of your fingers. Then wash your eyes with cold water after this and dry massage the eyes. You will be saved from many eye problems.

One hour of sleep between 9.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. gives you rest of 2 ½ hours. Between 12.00 a.m. to 3.00 a.m. (midnight) gives you rest of 2 hours and one hour of sleep between 3.00 a.m. to 6.00 a.m. (early morning) gives you rest of 1 ½ hours. If you sleep for one hour after the sun rise, two hours are wasted and you get tired soon. Those people who go on sleeping after the sunrise, don’t feel fit mentally and physically. People who sleep early and get up early are more disciplined, more pure hearted and have astonishing ability.
