Gift of Tears
What can I give Thee, O King of kings?
A flower? It will fade!
A lamp? It’s light will flicker and be extinguished in the wind!
A song? It will vanish in thin air!
Come to my garden that I may adore Thee with Lights and fragrance and with the one word: “Beloved!” There shall I give Thee the one only gift I can – the gift of tears.
