40% of worries concern matters that never occur.

Remedy:

1. Realize the total uselessness of worry.

2. On realizing the above, develop the will not to worry.

3. Actually throw your worries, immediately, into dustbin.

4. Live one day at a time; each day brings its own strength and wisdom to face any problem.

5. Begin the day with some small simple prayer which places any and every burden on the Lord.

6. Count your blessings. Have a positive attitude; Do not focus on the dark side of life which can put you in a state of depression.

7. Develop a healthy sense of humour. Do not take life too seriously.

8. Keep yourself busy all the time.

9. Set apart one day in the week to which to worry. Put your worries daily in a worry box. By the time you get to them, the source of worry may already have resolved itself.

10. Develop faith in the goodness and caring power of God.
